Bio
Jed Gibson spent 27 years as the head of Toll Architecture, a division of Toll Brothers (NYSE TOL), a Fortune 500 company and the global leader in luxury home building. Distinctly different from other builders, Toll has a catalog of over 2,000 unique home designs. Through intrapreneurship, Jed created a national A/E firm with over 200 employees in six offices. To increase contribution to the corporate bottom line he has adapted his group to changing market conditions squeezing efficiencies through process improvement, organizational change, and leveraging new technology. In 2014, Jed was recognized for product innovation in the home building industry as an inductee to the prestigious William. S. Marvin Hall of Fame for design excellence.
Jed is known for his strategic development and flexible leadership with a sweet spot at the intersection of technology, building science, and manufacturing. He was at the center of several enterprise-wide initiatives focusing on innovation, organizational transformation, digital customer experience, information governance, and IT strategy. He created home-grown digital design visualization and evaluation tools which enabled rapid prototyping, increased speed to market, and reduced costs
Jed graduated from Cornell University College of Architecture where he also studied business administration and computer science. His operational acumen and strong knowledge of technology bolstered his architecture career from early on and have led to consistent business improvement at each company he has served. Before joining Toll Brothers, Jed was a project manager as several small firms in greater New York City and Philadelphia areas.
A strong advocate for community service and sustainability, Jed spent seven years on the Board of a non-profit summer camp in rural Pennsylvania. In his spare time, he enjoys building furniture and haute treehouses, reading and research, and hiking with his family and three dogs.
